Lazy Update

So I'm getting tired of logging onto my blog and seeing that picture of ravioli lasagna...so I thought I should update. But about what??

We're 28 weeks pregnant...and we have NOTHING but clothes for the baby. We're so prepared!! We're mostly finished (I think) registering at Babies R Us. Haven't done ANYTHING in the nursery. I can't decide what "theme", if any, I want to go with. Too many possibilities! Or not enough??

We have, however, decided on a name. For those who haven't heard... dun dun dun dunnnnn...

Caleb William Jens Chappell

We wanted to honor both our grandfathers, so the lucky little tyke is doubly blessed. Just like his mommy!

In other news, my sister and niece are in town for a couple weeks. It's FANTASTIC getting one-on-one help from someone who's been down this same path recently. It's relieving a lot of stress and anxiety. And who can't help but smile when Caralie is around?? She's so TALL! Definitely mommy's little twin.

But for now I must get ready for the day. We're looking to replace my car with something more roomy (and safer) for little C. The hunt begins!

Ravioli Lasagna

I was thinking about what I wanted to make for dinner tonight, and I remembered the Ravioli Lasagna my roommate Lacy made back in Idaho. It's easy, and it's delicious!

1 jar spaghetti sace
2 bags cheese ravioli (you can do whatever kind you like)
1 large carton cottage cheese
2 1/2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
Italian seasoning, if desired

Layer in 9x13 pain:
thin layer of sauce to prevent sticking
ravioli
sauce
cottage cheese
mozzarella

repeat till all ravioli is gone then sprinkle italian seasoning if desired on top

Bake at 375 for 30 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly. ( I usually stick it under the broiler for minute or two to make the cheese a little crunchy on top)

Hog Heaven

What do you get when you mix these three seemingly innocent ingredients together???

Heaven on a cracker!

Which can be transformed into...

Heaven on a cracker with a twist

OR...

Heaven in a muffin cup

OR...

PURE HEAVEN ON A PLATE!

I have nothing more to say on this matter.

I had to steal it...

Sorry, Alex. I had to steal this video off your blog! It is soooo stinkin' cute!

You know it's true love when...

...you're sitting at the dinner table and you give your hubby "the look"...and he starts having a fake coughing fit so you won't be heard when you have to let one rip...

Pregnancy is so glorifying.

Tag, you're it!

This morning baby and I started playing a new game. If I stick my finger in my gut, within a few seconds he'll kick it and move around and hide. Then I stick my finger back in my gut and he'll kick it and twirl around and hide. Or maybe it's more like hide-n-go-seek.

I found you!

Sigh.

I love my baby.

I hope he's chubby and fat and full of rolls.

After he's delivered.

I hope he has the deepest dimples when he smiles.

And drools all over.

I hope he doesn't mind the onslaught of watermelon, or pickles and ice cream. Oh, and cheese. If only they had cheese curds here...

I hope he likes football...otherwise daddy won't know what to do.

I hope he has a big 'ole squishy and dimply bubble butt.

I hope he stays healthy and strong.

Mostly, I hope he knows how much his mommy and daddy love him already.

(mommy loves you enough not to let daddy call you magnus)
